Introduction

Background of the Study

Coconut wood has proven to be substantially equivalent to the traditional wood species in terms of durability, sturdiness, and versatility often at a considerably lower cost. The use of coconut in the industry is very crucial in the economic aspect of the Philippines wherein it became one of the major sources for lumber industry. It has become one of the major building materials for construction, furniture and making handicrafts that projected sustainable income and profit for the entrepreneurs, both in small and big scale.

Given the ailing economy of the Philippines and the lower cost of coconut woods, the businessmen and other coconut lumber entrepreneurs are trying to derive more ways and means to be able to maximize their marketable profit on coconut lumber while retaining its productions. The coconut lumber industry continues to soar high as high demands began to pour over to those who produce it and the supply is somewhat relatively adequate to sustain its need.

Before, the coconut woods are sold in trunks or in logs but in order to meet the higher demand for coconut wood, they converted logs into lumber production to be able to profitably utilize the coconut wood and adhere to its product Read the rest of this entry »

photo-8Organizing a game or an event is not easy especially if the tasks are not equally divided among its members and the group members are not actively cooperating. Such dilemma was slightly felt during our own way of organizing a soccer tournament for the fiesta of Mintal last November 29, 2008. Different groups were assigned with different committees. My group was randomly selected to be part of the Field Preparation Committee and we were assigned to make sure that the game field will be set-up before the tournament will begin.

We had to wait for the instructions of the professor before the equipments photo-24and things must be transported to the venue of the game. And we  needed to cooperate with the committee who were assigned for the lay-out of the fields that became very crucial in our task.

Two days before the tournament, we had to start our task for it takes time to complete and for the fact that we only had small manpower, there are only five members in our groups. We did all the necessary jobs and tasks like painting the penalty line for it to become visible, setting-up the goals and putting the nets on it. We also need to ensure that they are properly set and all the goals were in the right positions.photo-37

But our tasks did not ended right then, we had to be at the venue of the tournament an hour earlier before the game for we need to double check everything on the field. The game  started a bit late for some technical problems but it was still successful for the different assigned committees were able to do  their job as well as what my group/ committee had done.

And then, four princesses who loves adventure went into the woods to hunt some deers but they did not know that the dragon spotted them and later on set a trap for them. The four princess: Princess GS, Princess A, princess C and princess J saw a tree full of apples and because of the fact that they were very hungry, they took and ate those apples. But the dragon put some sleeping potions on those apples and the four princess collapsed. When they woke up, they found themselves with the other three princesses who were trapped their before them.

The seven princesses didn’t know what to do and they were unaware of the fact that a certain prince shared the same fate with them. But their adventures are just about to start….
